Synopsis
Pastor Norman Lewin challenges local gang to a winner take all soccer game in Rivoli, Spanish Town Jamaica. If the gang loses, well they will have to attend church for a month. Based on a true story reported in the Jamaican Daily Gleaner in 2008.
Creative vision
Pastor Norman was sent to a struggling church to see if he had the chops to build a ministry in the hard luck, gang ridden town of Rivoli on the outskirts of Spanish Town Jamaica. I took creative license to build an inspirational spiritual comedy which is similar to Sister Act, Cool Runnings and has the depth of Prayer Room.
Project highlights
Chosen for RealVibez Film Festival in 2021. Chosen for Future of Film Cohort 2026. Willing to shoot anywhere in the Caribbean with incentives. Will be utilizing Caribbean talent — actors, comedians, musicians and social media personalities. Building a multi-film universe on day one.
